I have to post a comment here: Time and again, I have had to deal with ignorant Windows users (All Windows users are, by definition, ignorant. It's in "The Devil's Dictionary" by Ambrose Bierce. Go ahead, look it up.) who have been tricked into installing "anti-malware" that is nothing more than a Trojan Horse designed to separate the fool from the money. And, time and again, I have googled their removal, only to find, time and again, that Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is the solution. Lesson learned.
The paid version does more, but the free trial detects and removes trojans (I can think of a few other things that remove trojans, but that's another story...). A Toolkit Essential.
