Oregon National Guard Troops Ordered To Iraq: "More than 100 Oregon National Guard troops have received orders to get ready to go to Iraq. The 224 Engineer Company out of Albany is expected to leave in June."
I saw in the news a couple of weeks ago that my old National Guard unit - the 115th Public Affairs Detachment (that's right - I was a Journalist) - got deployed to Iraq. Tho' my enlistment lasted considerably less than 6 months (or was it exactly 6 months?), I still feel a kinship with these perfect strangers. Let's be careful out there.
